Pumping Iron

I came across a book by former Mr. Olympia Dr. Franco Comlumbo at Border's and when i returned to buy it, unfortunately it was gone. It had a great article by Franco regarding steroids. He suggested that Dianabol for firsttimers is suggested (unfortunately that's as much as i read).

Anyways, does anyone know what steroids Arnold and Franco took? After searching various sites for any info i could find, i've found only "proof" that they took Dbols. Of course, steroids were legal back then, but what did they take??

A guy from my old gym (now about 55 years old) was lifting with fire in his eyes every time he trained. I talked to him one day and learned that he used to lift and hang with all those guys in the "Gold's Gym Golden Years" (Arnold, Franco, Waller, Robby Robinson, Katz etc...). He told me he never took roids, but he said those guys used to be so pumped on juice they're noses would suddenly bleed while at restaurants and other such side effects. He said they used to inject in the morning before workouts, during the day before tanning at the beach, and then again at night before bed.

Any info would be appreciated. thanks guys...

Dont know what they were injecting. As for nose bleeds, thats blood pressure. Some people have problems with it, some dont, during working out blood pressure will increase when you are straining (squats, etc). Water retention from roids is what'll do it, as well as increased red blood cell count which alot of them do from Anavar to EQ.

I have really only heard stories about them chewing up the DBol like candy but I'm sure they used a lot more than that!

i dont know alot of the early guys kinda bsed about what they did i know arnold loved dbol/ primo and zan loved his t3 an awfull lot platz was known for high doesages

I *heard* that Zane was permanently on thyroid drugs. I also have seen posted studies though that say thyroid medication does not destroy natural regulation, like I've always said though one study refutes another.

i know ive seen some that suggest the body will bounce back np. yeah ive heard that about Zane also i dont know what to think, out of the old guys hes one of few who still look good
