Sorness

My first week on test I was sorer than usual, this was natural, so I was pleased but not suprised. But, now I work the hell out of my muscles doing 20 plus sets on say pecs for example and ill be lucky if I feel anything the next day. I dont know the logisitics of how everything works but from what I understand if im not sore than the juice is just going to waste

Not true at all...with AAS your recovery is going to be improved dramatically thereby leading to less soreness than usual.

One thing to consider...you mentionned you're doing higher volume...BUT is the intensity still there...many times I see guys in the gym doing set after set but their intensity is less than desirable...just something to consider...higher volume isn't always better.....but if you're saucing...I do think higher volume + high intensity is best

I agree, being truly intensive is a mind game, you are fighting yourself. IMO the mind holds most of us back from being truly "hardcore," I am trying to find the barrier myself.

A fair portion of those that think they train hard, really dont, IMO.

Some people have no mind-body connection, i.e. "I'm doing bench today and man my biceps are pumped."

But what I mean of course goes beyond that, breaking past what most would call the "pain barrier" or just a plain old mental barrier. Especially with squats, if the average person "can do" 10 reps of a certain weight, I bet he can do 20 or 25, they just dont WANT to do 20 or 25

all i have to say is you arnt pushing unless u are feeling like crap. I mean most have never pushed it to the limit. they stall out on say rep 8 when in actuality they would realy be failing at rep 12-14 most people dont like to go outside of the confert zone into what I can only describe as being a place beyong pain.

I see this everytime I train with other people. I push myself until it gets dangerous. Like the other day, I only had one spotter who was standing behind me while I was at the rack. I forced out a rep I didn't think I could get, and then I thought I was gonna like vomit or collapse from weakness, so I had to go get a drink. I was sore for days.

back for the first time....

Alot of it is sheer willpower, even when most people falter it is them just wanting to quit.

yeah i know exactly what you guys are talking about ...When I squat, on my last set i try to max out..maybe do 4 reps...If I'm only doing 4 reps I'M GONNA FEEL PAIN. That's when the spotter kick in, cause if i can;t make it up, i'm in trouble(I've actually had this happen to me a few times..uggggg).
I think the same can be said with the bb bp. If you load it up high enough it gets to the point you having a spotter is a must. When I bench, i max with 4 reps again, and if there ain't a spotter, the bar's gonna crush something in my body.
But that's what it is all about. I don't understand the point of going to a gym if you aren't gonna train the hardest you humanly can?

Chuck Norris once lost his keys and couldn't remember where he put them. So he tortured himself for half an hour until he gave up their location.

Overtraining comes from working out day after day after day without taking a rest day. Not only are your muscles fatiqued and wore out, your CNS is shot!
