Thats an interesting question. Arnold is probably the most famous. Of the pros in the last 20 years, Paul Demayo was probably my favorite.

Why not just ask the question: "Who is your favorite pro bodybuilder"?

- PrinceMan, my stomach hurts just thinking about his question. I can't stop laughing.
Chuck Norris once lost his keys and couldn't remember where he put them. So he tortured himself for half an hour until he gave up their location.

living near SF I always wondered what Barry Bonds was taking. Does anybody know? He was so small in Pittsburgh, now he's a giant.

even though you're joking, my answer would be that it would not be an appropriate question on a "bodybuilding board" to ask about baseball players. ![]() BOARD SPONSORS: ![]()

Yep, someone posted some comparison pix of him during his time with the Giants, he looked like an average baseball player earlier on.

ARNOLD! ARNOLD! Arnold was and still is by far the best bodybuilder ever. He had everything, huge size, incredible strentgh and great definition, shape and proportions. He is the figure that people think of when people think of bodybuilding, just as much as how he is associated with movies.
He had probably the most perfect body ever to win grace bodybuilding. Although guys today are bigger, he didn't take nearly as much juice as guys take now. He took dbol and primo for the time he was 15. His waist was tiny, not like today's growth hormone freaks with the bloated guts. The guy had the heart of a lion, and probably one of the most successful and just overall cool lifestories ever. If you're a fan, you gotta buy the Unauthorized Arnold biography, its everyone else's recollections and stories about him, you get the truth. ARNOLD IS NUMERO UNO! |

man, get off arnolds cock, You talkin about him all one dimensional and shit is making me not like him so much. You know there are other people that are associated with BB besides him, nad what arnold says/does is not the end all be all of BB either. You should broaden your horizons instead of telling us how great arnold was in every post you post, it gets old. By the way, If arnold is soo great then how come his legs were so underdeveloped huh, b/c he didn't have the correct form on the squat down, he bent his back too much and took stress off the legs, hench the legs he had were underdeveloped. I love arnold, don't get me wrong, I am just using this as an example that he wasn't perfect, so don't be so much of a dick ryder please.

Get off his cock huh, gr81? First of all, don't act like you know anything about bodybuilding. Second, I go on the site once a month, because its a cool and interesting thing to look at. I don't take this shit seriously. I'm not a loser like you who hides behind their computer to insult people.
The reason i praise him is because he was the greatest. Of course no one is perfect, no one has been and no one ever will be. But, like Mudge said, he is the nearest thing to it. Obviously there are many other great champions and bodybuilders who have never won and were still unbelievable . How can you say his legs are underdeveloped? Suprisingly, you did manage to get one thing correct, how his legs are underdeveloped compared to guys nowadays. However, MANY people argue that guys legs now are TOO big and take away from symmetrical apects. It's not all the size that matters (which i guess it is to you). Arnold and the '70's guys didn't have GH, insulin and other shit that allowed them to get legs that big. But he also didn't have the bloated pregnant look that even today's champ, Ronnie, sports. Don't get me wrong, I love Ronnie, he's my second fav guy. But there's more to BB than size. Of course size is of the main aspects, but there's also symmetry, proportion, shape and defintion. If you say guys back then had underdeveloped legs, what about Platz (who came just after Arnold's era)? He no doubt has the greatest leg developement of all time. Why can't guys get like that now with all the shit they take? THAT IS WHY ARNOLD WAS THE BEST. He had size and symmetry. Sergio was bigger, but didn't have the defintion. Zane was more cut, but not the size. Louie just didn't have it. Who else do you want to talk about? Haney comes real close, he had mass, proportion and a small waist, that's why he dominated for a decade. Ronnie's sheer size is incredible, but his gut takes big points off. Same with Dorian. Dickerson had great symmetry, but wasn't huge. So, gr81, don't try to tell me about bodybuilding. I know my shit, more than you ever will. Second, if you're gonna have an opinion, make sure you have fact to back it up. I'll read your reply in a month, i have a life to go lead. |

mass or perfect symetry is the age old question its like talking about zane and arnie i mean arnold by no means obtained the kind of conditioning that we have today. Zane was probely the closest of that era to realy obtain increable condition. Arnold is a very geneticaly gifted bodybuilder and one of my favs but i dont think he is worthy of his god like status.
