wanting to start my first cycle
I am looking at starting my first cycle on some real stuff...tired of fooling with the other.
I am 5'11" and around 218lb. I would like to cut the fat up and add some major muscle mass. What would you suggest me getting started on, how much, how long to cycle, etc.? |

First, decide if you want to drop bodyfat or gain muscle, otherwise you are looking to either bulk and put on at least some fat or possibly drop only minor amounts of bodyfat.
Second, the more bodyfat you have the more estrogen conversion you have, so bulking cycles are best after a cut. |

So to start with a cutting phase what would you suggest aside from a proper diet? |

If you are more than 15% bodyfat then you should probably cut down a bit first. Last time I did that I stayed off the goodies for awhile and cut from 231 all the way down to 210 and amazingly didn't loose too much meat or strength. I came back just as strong and about the same size @ 224 pounds, currently I am 230/231ish.
Getting back on I pick up water weight very quickly, and at my height 5 or 10 pounds is hardly noticeable. |

when you cut did you focus on diet heavily with cardio? Last check I believe my bf was around 17%. I then dropped about 20 lbs. and was able to keep my strength, but didn't get cut up like I wanted. I have hit it hard since then and probaly added about 10-12 lbs back on (majority muscle).
I am definitly harder, i was able to add 2 inches to my chest and a half inch to my biceps last month. But, I still want to get cut up. I guess it all goes back to diet, huh? Would you suggest 5-6 clean meals a day? |

Zero cardio at all. Bulking or cutting all goes back to diet without question. As for getting cut up, its the winter where I live, no point in doing that and it is not easy for me to drop under 13% or so anyway and I want more size, period.
If I want to stay 15% or under I have to eat clean through the week minus one cheat meal, which for me is usually 2200-2400 calories worth of pizza. This means for me almost no carbs during the week other than oatmeal with no sugar. |

Thanks. I've started this week on cutting my carbs back and trying to eat cleaner, ecspecially in the protein department. Once I get down in my bf% what goodies would you suggest? |
