    Testosterone dose/response relationships

This subject came up awhile ago concerning how much test produces what levels in the body. Rod at Meso turned me on to this study of 61 men.

This is the average for 61 males, ages 18-35. They were given long-acting gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist, to suppress endogenous testosterone secretion, and weekly injections of 25, 50, 125, 300, or 600 mg of testosterone enanthate for 20 weeks (where do I sign up for this study? ).

Testosterone resulted in mean nadir testosterone concentrations of 253, 306, 542, 1,345, and 2,370 ng/dl at the 25-, 50-, 125-, 300-, and 600-mg doses, respectively. So according to these results, and interpoling the data, the average with 500mg/wk of test enanthate should have a mean testosterone concentration of 1,975 ng/dl. The full abstract is linked below. What I found interesting too, is the fact the men were asked NOT to weight train during the study period. The 600mg group still had an average lean mass gain of 17 lbs. Calories were standardized at 36 calories per kilo of bodyweight, and protein at 1.2 per kilo of BW. So for a 200 lb man, that would be 3,272 calories and only 110 grams of protein a day!

Also of note is that enanthate dose and hours of watching Oprah per week were INVERSELY related.

In all seriousness, I don't know that you would actually wanna be in this experiment. It seems that since it was randomized, and 3 of the groups would have less circulating test than a normal person, you have a much better chance of getting the shaft than the good stuff.

Actually, after reading the whole study, it makes me wish I would have went with a slightly smaller dose the first time around, maybe 300 or 400 per week.

Great study, though. That is awesome to get to see dose taken interpolated to ng/dl.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

Yeah I thought about that. I would pay off the nurse to make SURE I was in the 600mg group for 20 weeks. Or in your case, maybe she (assuming the nurse is a she) would go for a weekly hot beef injection in return.

Yeah, but he wasn't given the GnRH.

So I would imagine someone with 500mg a week and a nice little bottle of HCG could get it up pretty high.
