Question my buddy got an infection

my buddy thinks he got an infection. He is thinking of taking some antibiotic. I heard that amoxicillin could help, how long should he take it for? and at what dose? i tried looking it up but everywhere it says that you should consult your doctor about the dosage...also how would he know that its in fact an infection? he told me that he shot in the glute 2 days ago and since then the pain;s killing him. No visual signs of infection thou...i told him that he could have hit a nerve but he is saying that there was no pain while he injected only a few hours after.
it got me thinking because i never use alchool swabs, how important are they?

Sounds to me like you have no proof of this, just assumptions. I still get people who come to me with pain from shots in the ass, while I've never had pain there, but I haven't had anyone come to me with a genuine infection that was eating flesh just yet.

My doctor prescribed me amoxicillin for my allergy asthma. How it would have any effect on your problem is beyond me.

I doubt your friend has an infection if he just did this recently....and yes using an alcohol swab before injecting IMO is very important. Its cleaning all the shit and dirt off your injection site before you shove it into your body when you jab the needle in. Washing your hands is equally as important.

If the case is that he does have an infection, maybe he needs something stronger than Amox. He might have just shot wrong and hit something... this is an assumption and you know what happens when you ASS-U-ME.

Yeah chances are your friend just used very poor injection techniques. Probably shot in the wrong area...went through a few nerves in the process....injected quickly right next to a nerve....and now he is in pain....If the injection site isn't red, swollen, painful, and warm-hot to the touch....then he doesn't have anything to worry about. If he is THAT worried then tell him to see his doctor.

    Ummm....let me see here....

Are you saying that you don't clean the area of your body that sits on the toilet, gets occasionally spashed with feces contaminated water, and cross contaminated with feces in general before you stick a needle in it?

    shame on you

I'm not sure what kind of links we could post to show others just how dangerous it is to not practice general cleanliness when injecting, but I would say as a general rule all people should wash their filthy butts before sticking a needle into themselves

And I also find it peculiar that someone you just met would start complaining about the painful injection site on his ass.

Hey Viktor here is some good advice for you bro....use swabs when you inject shit into your body.....second off ditch your new buddy at the gym. Anyone that is going to announce to strangers they meet that they are a steroid user is just asking to get in trouble. Chances are if your involved in anyway with this guy you'll somehow become part of the trouble. So when you see him RUN the other way....you'll burn a few calories and safe yourself a headache.
