Hello, i'm completely new to the whole anabolic thing, so can somebody tell me when somebody should start with this stuff, or on what age?

I know the risks that come with it, i've searched on google and have come up with some nasty shit, (i'm only 17 so i'm not gonna start with it in the near future, and if i'm gonna use i'll only take light stuff, not the heavy stuff.) but i can't find information about when you should start with it on at what age.
minimum age of 21 is what everyone will advise here.

I always tell people that they should have a minimum of 10 years of solid training under them. once you use AAS, training natural after that is going to be zero fun. then what do you do ? continue to use AAS your whole life just to constantly make gains ?
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Should? When you are 50+ and looking for normalization.

Yeah, I was asking a similar question recently too. Get some good solid muscle under your belt first. This will require patience and depending on your discipline, diet, genetics etc may take a good few years, which is what alot of youngsters/newcomers don't like- the fact of it taking time. Try and gain as much lean weight as possible naturally first so to form a good solid foundation, as remeber depending on training and the amount of calories and sleep/rest etc, you may put on 12 to 15 lbs (25 if you do go with heavy stuff with larger doses for longer perhaps, but unlikely for a novice), which although is a good weight increase and will be noticeable, it won't turn you into an instant Arnie in just one cycle which alot of people tend to believe. For instance if I started banging gear from the start of my lifting experience, i'd gain that 15 lbs perhaps, but then I put on 50 lbs naturally since starting over a few years, so it does happen naturally my friend. Only take AS's when you know exactly what is what and you feel your body is at it's maximum natural boundary. Most guys here will tell you to ace you diet and training/rest programs first before thinking of AS's. At 17, your way too young and still gonna be growing so train your ass off and make good use of your teen/adolescence boosted hormones first to get you a head start, then as Lam said after a good foundation of years of training then consider drugs. Good Luck.
The hardest part for me was not letting excitement get the best of me. After I learned a great deal and knew what I was doing, I wanted to just jump into the cycle right away, but having the gear and not starting is a great way to teach yourself patients. Im in college, so im broke, and I had all my gear ready and wanted to start so bad, but I had very little money to pay my bills not to mention all the food I was going to need to consume, so I decided to put my cycle off for a bit until I knew I had the money I needed to pay all my bills, buy all the food, and have a little extra left over just incase, and im glad I did.

^ true.
i did my first and only so far about a year ago when i was almost 19.... it was very small tho 350mg test and 200mg deca per week for 10 weeks. I didnt fuck myself up but id still wait awhile. 17 is just way too young man.
your telling him 17 is way to young when you were "almost 19" which means you were 18? Come on man, this is like that scene from Casino when the mom snorts a line of coke and looks at the daughter and says "you shouldn't ever do this". 17 is to young, so is 18, so is 19 and so is 20.Originally Posted by ST240

Most people looking to compete aren't going to wait until they are 25 or 30. What it comes down to is personal choice, I knew a guy who started in his very early teens, and he was damn serious. So far as I know he doesn't compete any longer because he hurt his back showing off. He is also stuck barely over 5 foot because of it.

I don't know one single person who started using gear in their teens that works out now. Every single guy that I know that started using gear that young is plagued with injury (most of them in the shoulder girdle).Originally Posted by Mudge
