D-Bol.
Hey guys. My college roommate and I have been going to the gym for the past two months. I've noticed some gains, however we are wondering if D-Bol could help us out. I've went to some websites and researched it and read some posts here. You guys mention taking only 20-30mg a day, but this one website had 230mg capsules that you take 2-8 times a day. That's overkill isnt it? I also read here that you should NOT do a D-Bol only cycle. Why is that? I doubt I will even do this drug, but I'm just interesed in it. If I were to take it, what are some precautions/tips I should take? Btw, I'm an 18 year old male if that matters. Any information you can share about D-Bol is greatly appreciated.
PS: If D-Bol is not the way to go, can you recommend some supplements to help me get that extra kick in my workout and possibly help with my gains? Thank you! |

A few tips
1.) Get ready for the onslaught. 2.) Two months and you want to try anabolics? Come on 3.) Your 18!!! Too young 4.) Wherever the hell you saw 230mg dbol was not real dbol 5.) If you read about people using 20-30mg of dbol a day, do you think 230mg eight times a day sounds a little high? Does the tylenol bottle say take between 3 and 600 as needed? 6.) A pill doesn't necessarily mean it's a "safe alternative to those dangerous needles" 7.) If you ever do consider touching anabolics, please educate yourself a whole lot more. Ask questions, and be prepared to be made fun of. It's nothing against you personally, it's carelessness among teens who think they are "hardgainers" and anabolics are the easy and safe remedy to their inability to grow even though they eat 4 meals a day and almost 2200 calories that piss us off. Ignorance about the drugs you are putting in your body is the most dangerous thing about anabolic use. You have been lifting for two months. At 18 years old, your already high test levels combined with a proper diet will give you all the extra kick you need for now. |

Thank you. After reading more posts, I dont think steroids is the correct approach. But are there any SAFE products that I can take before a workout to get that extra kick?

A simple piece of advice for that extra "kick." Have you tried plain old, been around for centuries, coffee? Add a couple protein shakes, preferably after workout and before bed and you should see some improvements in your workouts and gains with those two simple ingredients. A better area to get your info would be training, and also diet forums. I'm not being a smart ass but one gym I used to workout at had a pot of coffee at the counter, 25 cents a cup, and a sign in front of it "miracle workout booster" as a joke because everyone thinks it has to be a new fangled thing and sometimes simple works just fine.

Multiply weight by ten to get calorie intake.WTF is that all about. a 200lb guy training hard eating only 2000 calories will starve. 2000 is for 18 year old high school girls whose regular excerise consists of painting their nails. I know this kid is not very knowledgable but if we're gonna offer advise it at least should be solid. I'm 168lbs and I eat about 3500 calories and i could do with eating more. on your calculation i should be eating 1680. |

I know a girl who weighs about 155 and eats 3500 calories a day, she looks AWESOME and is friggin 5'10".
Honestly for me though, despite having a job where I am fairly active, and being 229-231 pounds, I would gain weight at that level and I actually do cardio along with my weight training. Some people believe in a metabolic set point change with time, maybe its true, because I've been near the same weight for about 2 weeks now. So eat how you need to eat, but that is the part YOU have to figure out. |

3500, I was able to maintain 252 pounds @ 4000 approximately when I had a desk job. Now I am more active, doing cardio as well, but I dont require a lot of calories. I do have to watch my carbs though.

Here is about the most straightforward, nonsarcastic reply that you are going to get:
At 18, there is no way that you have fully tuned your lifting routine at all. You probably don't have your training splits optimized, your training time length at the best level, don't have the lifts that you already do being done correctly, don't have the most effective lifts in your routines, etc. Your diet no doubt needs some work too. You need to be eating 6-7 times a day, taking in an evenly divided protein amount in each meal. Your protein goal should be at least 1g per pound of bodyweight...AT LEAST. As for you shakes, you need to get one in 45min before you lift and one right after. Your pre-lifting shake needs to be about 60-80g of complex carbs from oats or maltodextrin. It also needs to have a source of good fats(Natural PB) as well as about 30g of whey protein. You can mix it with milk for added flavor and protein. Your post lifting shake needs to have at least 40g of whey protein along with 70-100g of simple sugars, preferably from dextrose. Mix your post shake with water only. You need to get your post-shake in as soon as possible. I put all my dry components in a shaker and mix them with water at the gym as soon as I am done. Before you go to bed, you should have a meal of at least a cup of cottage cheese. I add a half cup of plain yogurt and a scoop of whey to mine, too. At 18, I thought I knew what I was doing too. I weighed about 170 at the time and thought I was about as big and strong as I was going to get. I am now 210 and am bigger than I thought I would ever be. I continue to learn more and more about my diet and training regimine. You are never at your limit. Keep in mind: train smarter, not harder. |
