How much the Pro's spend a year on Cycles

Does anyone know how much an average Professional (in the top 30) spends on just steroids? not supps, or food just steroids. I'd like to know and i think some more people would too.

One of the personal trainers at my gym has been trying to get his pro card for some time, he is 38 and placed 2nd in the Masters and 3rd in the superheavyweight class at his last competition. I think this is his year that he will get pro status to compete in the Master's division in the IFBB.

From what i heard he spent around $5000 on steroids just to get ready for the show.

Just think about the costs of GH @ 8ius/day year round alone. Then add in the AS. LOL I just want to know what they're thinkin' in the nursing homes later in life when they consider the costs of maintaining their bodies at 30% over their genetic muscle carrying potential and then (as many do) quiting training cold turkey and takin' a 1way ticket to flab. EX: a HS Chem teacher about 6-7yrs ago that I knew (former card carrier) 55yrs old 380-400lbs @ 5'10", and 2 canes so he could balance himself and walk. Sad shtuff, and that was b4 our current BB mentality of freakish is better.

- "If I ever run into Dave Grohl, I'm gonna kick his fuqqin' ass... because he sucks and he wrote this cheese-dick song for Ozzy that I have to fuqqin' play on and I'll never forgive him for that. Foo Fighters is a fuqqin' candy-ass girl band but you've got that mother-fuqqer submitting songs [for the album], and those douchebags from the Offspring, too."
"...Dave Grohl? Fuq Dave Grohl! ...you're getting this guy to write songs for Ozzy? Just because he played drums for fuqqing Sh!tvana?"

You should know that a lot of top pros are not paying what most of us pay for their juice. They usually buy in very large quantities along with other bodybuilders and this brings the price down a lot. There total yearly cost still comes out to a lot but not as much as some of us would pay to take the same amount.

Yes, both comments are true...but their yearly bill is still enormous, and as they keep adding new products to their stacks, it gets even more expensive. Some of these guys are stacking a dozen or more drugs at once...its f'n sick!

It's interesting to note that some bodybuilders sell fake roids to make huge amounts of money. Most people would trust a pro b/c obviously the pro is getting huge of his own goods. I have heard many people out of California complain about a few pros who sell bunk gear and are making good coin out of it. Pros also make good money off of personal training. Who wouldn't want a freak like that giving them advice so they could become a freak like their trainer.

These days even bodybuilders on the amateur level are making good money due to the marketing available thanks to the web. There are lots of avenues of income when you have a great physique.

This is true, but you don't need steroids to make money from your physique and your knowledge that comes with it. I do wish the pros made more money like other athletes though, so they could stay away from doing illegal and unscrupulous things to get their gear and everything else it takes to be succesful in the sport.

You are right,
its hard for most of them who arent in the top 20 in the world to make good coin from being like other athletes and just amking money from competing. That is why most of them resort to selling.

I know relatively speaking very little about this stuff, but I think the above sums it up. Its not just a roid or two like "maybe" it was in the 60s, your talking multiple drugs to compliment one another, GH etc. Even with the connections some of these guys have, some of them supposedly still get taken for a ride and not getting what they bought, which can be dangerous in itself since your relying on it being exactly what you expected.

There are at least a few 'roid books out there which provide some insight, I read the original steroid handbook, as well as one rather in depth interview of a person who got into heavy drug use, as well as some of the Dan Duchane stuff. Even legal drugs are really expensive, when your paying an extra premium for under the table stuff, or going out of the country, I'm sure it gets pretty damn expensive.

Well, most of them use their contest money for their drugs. Other get drugs free from the sponsers, and they also have jobs outside of bodybiulding. Plus the money that comes in from training, photoshoots, sponsor money, and guests appearances.
