    Steroids and Growth (height)

okay guys, i don't really come in here but a buddy of mine was asking me about this so i told him i'd do some research, but i'm a lazy bastard and don't want to wade through lots of BS to figure this out so i'm appealing to you guys.

My buddy is 5'5'' and would like to grow a little more, nothing spectacular but an inch he wouldn't mind. so he read, as have i, that steroid give a little bit of a growth spurt for the first time user.

    is this true?
if so what would be the best drug to take?

now i know GH would make one grow, but he categorically does not want to fuck with that. he's also not going to start juicing to get big, he would just like an extra inch or something on his frame. so there you have it folks, some type of reference would be greatly appreciated but opinions are also welcome.

Steroids close growth plates. They don't help you grow.

yea i told him already but i doubt he will actually go to one, i don't think he is too serious about this but i wanted to get some info cause he's not exactly the type of person to think shit through so i don't want him fucking himself up.

yes i know steroids don't help you grow and i know that excess estrogen supposedly closes your epiphyseal plates, but like i said...i remember reading somewhere that steroids, when used for the first time, might give a little growth spurt. i believe i read it in an anabolic forum like 2 years ago, the people were talking about the possibilities of growing past one's natural height limit by taking roids when you naturally stop growing to give a little spurt of growth right before your E. plates close. it wasn't practical so the discussion went nowhere. i just wanted to see if anyone had any other info on this.

Anavar is used for this purpose in adolescents with delayed puberty I think...

    It doesn't aromatize.

I never heard of it helping you grow. Do you mean growth hormone? they give that to under grow/developed kids to help them grow.

no i think they were just talking about plain ol' AAS but it was a while ago that i read this and i never went any deeper than reading a discussion about it. i dunno, i guess its most likely BS...i'll just look into anavar and call it quits after that.

My sister did growth hormone shots and it helped her. They are really expensive so you need good insurance.
