"On-cycle" Training Splits

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I can't find a thread on it. My question is: Is it typical for someone who is running gear to increase volume, as well as frequency of their workouts? For example cutting their rest period from 3 days to one day? I am quite aware of the strength effects that steroids have, but does this also mean that recovery time is shortened? There is a guy at my gym that I'm certain is running some sort of gear, and I noticed he is working his chest just about every 4 days. Just curious.

You can up the volume and intestity a little while on gear. Remember one thing, it is still possible to overtrain while using anabolics.

Gear will help with recovery, so increasing frequency and volume is ok to an extent. I still don't think more than 5 hours of lifting a week is necessary, though.

You don't need gear to do that. 4 days is definitely long enough for me while off cycle.
