Its legal, but not legal as a dieting aid. Its still used in gardening, and staining metals. I made some nice permanent marks at my place thanks to a couple pinholes in the foil it was sitting on, it basically spreads on its own even through containers. Yellow gets everywhere.
I ran through 10 grams of it and didn't notice any positive benefit, so I trashed what I had. It's a tricky substance. At the right dose, it can be effective. Lots of sides to counter, though.
