Test to treat muscular atrophy after surgery?

I recently had reconstructive surgery on both knees and was immobilized in a cast for 8 weeks after. The procedure was an Osteotomy. After removing the cast i had bad atrophy in both legs and just lost alot of weight in general, id say about 15lbs. After talking to my docter i got a prescription for sus at 250mg a week. Sus was my choice as ive done two cycles in the past, both primoteston at 500mg per week and wasnt happy with test-e personally. At first i just looked at this as helping my rehab which i am a month into now and three months post op, but i began weight training again this month and started thinking i should just up it to 500mg E4D and get all i can from it. Will this jump even out my test levels that are probably off due to the sus only being once per week? Any opinions welcomed.

What country are you in? Are they 250 mg amps? If so, I'd go with 250 mg E4D. However, I wouldn't recommend using gear so soon after surgery, and I'm surprised a doctor would advise that.

My insurance wouldnt cover this surgery so i had it done in mexico. Im not really looking to get into the mexican surgery debate but would really like to know the negatives of a cycle soon after surgery as you mentioned. Sorry left out my stats and goals. Im 27 years old, 5'7, about 150lbs after the weight loss following surgery. Was off for three months after surgery, been lifting 3x a week for the last three weeks. Ive been lifting since about 15 but only consistantly for the past two years. My goal is to get back to presurgery condition as quickly as possible which is about 15lbs. I am not a power lifter I train mma so not looking for a big mass gain. I try to eat 2g protein per lb, 3,000-3500 calories per day. I have redijects.

If your muscle strenth increase outpaces the improvement in the quality of your connective tissues, there is an increased chance of injury. In my opinion, using testosterone at anabolic levels will increase this risk.

I agree, not a good idea 2 use gear so soon after surgery, maybe just conc on rehab till ur fully recovered and ready 2 tackle the heavy weights again, u can get ur weight back up without gas, but best 2 be do it gradually and be patient or ur just do more damage.

Thanks that makes alot of sense. What is considered an anabolic level of test? Yeah i did think of the extra weight on my knees slowing my recovery and possibly cuasing injury thats why i went with 250 a week and relatively low caloric intake. I think the 8 weeks in bed no work, not being able to play with my kids, train, or even get out of bed to go to the bathroom clouded my judgement. It would be great if i could recover slowly but i dont think the mortgage company would be so understanding. Since starting this cycle ive been able to put away the wheelchair and even the walker if not walking long distances. I am seeing small gains that have caused my knees to be more sore at night, but thats after walking around all day something i couldnt even think about 2-3 weeks ago.
