What Are Your Thoughts On Testosterone Supplementation?

It could be said that testosterone is what makes men, men. It gives them their characteristic deep voices, large muscles, and facial and body hair, distinguishing them from women. It stimulates the growth of the genitals at puberty, plays a role in sperm production, fuels libido, and contributes to normal erections. It also fosters the production of red blood cells, boosts mood, and aids cognition.

Studies have shown that testosterone-replacement therapy may offer a wide range of benefits for men with hypogonadism, including improved libido, mood, cognition, muscle mass, bone density, and red blood cell production. But little consensus exists on what constitutes low testosterone, when testosterone supplementation makes sense, or what risks patients face.

But basically, I'd just like to know other people's opinion on the use of Testosterone?

There is plenty of information on what constitutes low T. Not surprisingly, the needs of individuals varies just like other medical treatments. Doctors may even dose similar cases differently as well, like they do with other meds. Also, relative to other common medications the side affects are very low at normal doses.

I think some would put a negative spin on a pretty straight forward hormonal imbalance and it's treatment just because others abuse anabolic drugs. TRT is a treatment that can greatly increase one's quality of life when you're under the treatment from a good doctor, IMHO.

I agree. For me it is 100% quality of life issue.
I credit Built for the suggestion of getting tested by my Dr. definitely one of the best moves I've made in improving my quality of life.

Hypogonadal men using testosterone replacement therapy is an entirely different thing then a man with normal testosterone levels using supraphysiological doses to build muscle.

If you google you can see the list of issues that come from low testosterone. I am confident you will find more drawbacks to having low test levels versus supplementing the hormone.
