Acne while on gear, how do you keep it in check?

What are you guys doing to keep your acne somewhat in check while cycling. I don't want to go on any prescription drugs and while it isn't all that bad, it's not exactly attractive to have your shirt off when your chest is broken out, my back for the most part isn't all that bad. My chest is another story though. I shower twice a day and exfoliate but it doesn't seem to help much. Also use stridex pads on face and chest twice a day. Do i just have to deal with it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it comes with the game, personaly i find the less u wash the better ur skin will be, try only showering once a day, no acne pads and no soap on chest, soon as i lay off the soap my acne clears right up, just some on my back with high test

    Nizoral & B-5

I have not had direct experience using either of these products. However on my cycle I will be utilizing both.

Nizoral, whose active ingrident is ketoconazole, has the ability to reduce production of DHT. Many people have claimed to have success using it as a topical agent during a cycle, or for purposes in general.

here's two such links with the experinces of others (google):

Mind and Muscle Forums > Nizoral shampoo for acne - best solution ever

Nizoral Experience on Acne. - Anabolic Steroids - Steroid.com / Anabolic Review Forums

As for the B-5 I have heard a number of dosing suggestions. I myself will follow the following 2grams per day pantothenic acid(B-5) for three weeks prior to the first injection and up until day 21.

Then 5 grams, if any flare ups occur, for the remainder of the cycle.

The debate over whether or not B5 actually works is unsettled, and only one study has been conducted by Dr. Lit-Hung Leung, and his methodology is questionable.

I would wager by the results I have seen from others that Nizoral (ketoconazole 2%) is the way to go.

I dont agree with you sendit. I had fairly bad acne going through puberty and was on it twice. The first time was by far the worst for side effects but all of my acne was gone. Now that I'm using gear I take 80mg/day of Accutane to to keep my acne in check. The sides for me arnt bad at all, chapped lips and dry eyes, occasionally I get some bloody snot (gross hey). This is nothing that some good moisturizers cant take care of and it sure as hell beats zits and cysts.

I guess its a matter of preference and severity.
I dont think that a mild breakout on the back is worth those side effects or potentially worse like you said you had the first time you were in it.
Its up to the user of course but I know for a fact that a large portion of doctors will not prescribe accutane unless the case is very severe and most other options have failed.

What I am trying to say is that I wouldnt go recommending it to people. After all it has been responsible for deaths in the past. (see cases of suicide due to depression from accutane).

Man those sides are nothing, chapstick for my lips, once in a blue moon I have to use drops for my eyes, and the bloody snot is a once every two week thing max that a good blowing on kleenex takes care of. You say that accutane causes death through depression; thats a horrible arguement you'll never be able to defend. Go to pubmed.com type in Accutane Depression and read the many articles that come up, heres some quick copy paste for you

CONCLUSION: Results of the present study indicate that there is no increase in depressive and anxiety symptoms in the isotretinoin treatment group compared to that in the topical group. Instead, successful treatment of acne seems to improve both depressive and anxiety symptoms and improve quality of life.

Comparison of depression, anxiety and life quality in acne vulgaris patients who were treated with either isotretinoin or topical agents. Kaymak Y, Taner E, Taner Y.

Secondly the supposed depression affected less than 1 percent of all users but like I've shown these studies show that this is a load of crap.

Everyone gets outbreaks in different areas, me its my neck which is highly visible. I'd rather not have that and plus I dont need scarring there. Accutane is potent but if used correctly its safe and works wonders. I'd more than recommend it.

Even with all that said and the research that I have done on accutane considered I would not recommend accutane to an individual that has not tried the much safer alternatives beforehand.
