    First cycle

I am starting a cycle in 2 weeks, the first ever. Im not a big fan of pins so i was going to do a 3 week anadrol50mg/d/clomid followed by 2 weeks off and then anavar for 4 weeks at 50mg/d then back to my 2 gel packs a day androgel. However after reading a bit more on anadrol im thinking its a BAD idea. What do you experts think i should do for my first? im 33 164 lbs 5'10" want to bulk up im a hard gainer just back in the gym after 2 years off do to back injury and have been back 3 months now with no problems thank god!

Glad you are back in the gym.

10-12 weeks of test enanthate, 250-500mg e/w. Followed by clomid for PCT. Take HCG during cycle, 300iu E5D. This is a good first cycle.

It wouldn't hurt to toss some dbol in the beginning as well, your call. Some might say it's a bit much to use an oral in the front.

If you are not ready to pin, you are not ready to use AAS, IMHO. And yes, 3 weeks of drol is foolish in your case. I'd also wait a bit, since you said you have only been back in the gym for 3 months. I'd wait a little while longer.

Sure you could. But, I wouldn't advise it seeing this is your very first cycle.

I would stick with just test and perhaps some dbol as I suggested. I use var when I cut, not bulk (though u can use it when bulking, most cut with it). So I would use var AFTER running the test cycle.

if you have the patience then build your natural base back up first and look after your injury.

I cant see the point of doing a cycle when you can gain that weight naturally plus you will have more chance of reinjuring yourself when your on enhancers as your gaining weight and strength faster which put more pressure on the joints.

I say ease your way back into it, spend the next year or two bringing your weight up naturally and if your back is still good and you have built a good base then look at a Test cycle. That way your gains will be much more attainable when or if you hit the sauce.

Ive had a few injuries including lower back and I find regular rehab in the form of physio or similar to the injured area works wonders.

^ Exactly. Keep working hard naturally....when you hit that plateau and stop seeing gains, reconsider.

I've been there bro, 3 pulled disks and a fucked up case of spinal bifida.

    Patience bro.

Hmm i have the test now just looking at me from the desk lol, im gaining back a lot of what i lost really fast oddly enough, i guess the 2 androgels i take a day is helping. Im going to beat a dead horse here again and ask will it be BAD for me to run a test cycle in say 2 weeks for 12 weeks? is the only draw back the fact that i run a higher risk of injury? to be honest i want to do the cycle half for gains and half to help heal some cronic injurys muscle stuff nothing to serious but those nagging lil ones. I really appreciat all the feed back and the time your taking to help me answer these questions guys!

So I too am in your shoes, or so to speak. I had a herniated disc, my layoff was about 9 months. I went from 190ish to 169, now I was also doing a shit ton of high intensity and endurance training, running 30-40miles a week and swimming 2-5 per week, as well as doing pt and sometimes crossfit lifts 4-5 days a week.

When I got disqualified from the program I was going into, I just sat their with my head in my hands and was utterly depressed. I had an objective and a goal and that meant I had to accept the muscle loss, but then the rug was yanked out and all I was left with was 20lbs of muscle loss and a herniated disc that left me in excruiciating pain.

Slowly I worked my way back into the gym, but it has taken me four months to figure out what works with my injury, and what aggrevates it. It's different for everyone, and because I have no medical coverage I had to learn the hard way.

I know the feeling of desperation my friend. To sit in a dark room and wish that things were different, to try and will yourself back to a pain free time when you could lift naturally with intensity. In the lowest moment I decided I was going to speed things up with a cycle. That it was time to take control. It was a decision of desperation.

But the fact is decisions made in desperation are seldom rational. Thanks to some advice from a lot of great folks around here (Built , Shadow, Victor, Pirate) I decided to hold off on the cycle. I'm glad I did it's given me more time to research and plan. More importantly it has given me more time to learn what my body can and can't do, as well as an opportunity to really evaluate my diet and training so that when I do plateau naturally I'll be fully prepared.

I have been in your shoes. I have had that bitter taste in my mouth. I know how it feels to look in the mirror and be both angry and ashamed. I urge you to hold off, to learn what works given your parameters, to really examine your diet and training, and to give yourself time to gain naturally.

It's not much, but I got back into the gym in December and went from 171 at 13% bf, to 183 at 10ish% bf. You can gain naturally, and there is a time and a place for a cycle, but three months is too soon in my assesment.

Give yourself a chance to train naturally, you won't gain as fast as you want but you won't regret the decision in the long run, because once you start that cycle you're all in and training light isn't an option.

PS- I agree if you can't take the pins then don't bother, and where is your hcg and pct plan? Please do more research it can only help.
