day 1 after getting my wisdom teeth pulled out. Unable to eat anything solid, and got a major urge to work out but it might be a couple of weeks until i can do that safely. Advice and experiences after getting this puppies out your mouth from the people of IM appreciate it.
Give it 5 days or so. If you start working out, you might cause complications in the healing. Having your wisdom teeth taken out is non-trivial. You need time to heal. It's not worth taking the risk.
Everyone is different, but I found that I could eat whatever I wanted after 5 days, so it stands to reason that working out should also be okay.
Dang, I had mine extracted in the middle of the day, and was drinking beer and eating barbeque that night.
Did/do you have a case of dry socket or something?

Nope. When it comes to letting my body heal, I give it plenty of time, which severely lowers the chances of complications.
I may miss out on a few days of something or other, but I have to keep my body for decades to come. :shrug:
i ate barbecued chicken n went to work after having my first two done. not sure i'd have worked after the second two but more because he gave me too much novocaine than any bodily trauma. did you have surgery? i don't see what the danger is? you're not going to pull a train engine with your teeth are you?
DOMS, after some of the stuff you've been through i'm surprised dental work even makes you flinch.

i've been very lucky in the having to heal dept so i'll take your word for it.

My wisdom teeth came in straight so I didn't have to get them yanked....
I did have to get 4 molars pulled when I was 10 or 11, I was a tough kid so I don't recall the pain, but I do remember coming home wasted and watching movies all day....movies I would never usually but did watch because I was too lazy to get up and grab the remote....I think a few of those movies influenced my life....one was North Shore a surf movie that made me want to go to Hawaii when I grew up and another was Barfly made me think about being a writer....there was also this part I think it was that movie where he talks about some people never get crazy and how boring & pathetic their lives must be....Also saw Summer School for the 5th time that day and revenge of the Ninja, no it was American Ninja 2 on the island at the American Embassy....but the first 2 movies I saw while I was still pretty loaded and they stuck in my mind like lucid dreams....
Can anyone link that video of the kid all fucked up coming back from the dentist? Manic's story reminded me of it. Its funny as hell, but I cant access videos to link it at work.
