10 days? How many years would you or I get?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
An Atlanta police officer admitted Tuesday he had been drinking when he drove the wrong way on I-85 and struck a Greyhound bus nearly head-on in April.
Christopher Niezurawski, 36, pleaded guilty in DeKalb County State Court and was sentenced to 12 months, 10 days of which he?ll serve in jail, Sherry Boston, the county?s Solicitor-General, said in a press release.
In addition, Niezurawski must pay $800 plus court costs for a total of $1,243, perform 80 hours of community service, participate on a Mothers Against Drunk Driving impact panel and have alcohol evaluation and treatment, Boston said. During his 12 months on probation, he will not be allowed to consume any alcohol and will have to undergo random alcohol screenings.
Niezurawski was off-duty around 4:30 a.m. on April 26 when he entered I-85 southbound at the Lenox-Cheshire Bridge Road exit but traveled northbound, investigators have said.
An off-duty DeKalb officer spotted the vehicle stopped the wrong way in the travel lanes between Northcrest and Pleasantdale roads, but before officers could get to the vehicle, a bus loaded with passengers struck the wrong-way vehicle, police previously said.
No one on the bus was injured. Niezurawski was treated and released from the hospital the same day.
Niezurawski is assigned to the APD Special Operations Section, Motors Unit, a police department spokesman said Tuesday. He is currently on administrative assignment pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
Phuquin cops! Here in Ca. you're fined much more for a DUI ?
And there was no mention of restitution for the bus either .

Fuck that in ca my DUI cost my 10,000 and I almost did 6 months... I didn't crash, they saw me park my car and start stumbling after I got out... I was a .34 bac they said anything over .22 is a hazard to society and jail time
Talk about a slap on the wrist
Oh and my case went on for Like two years I was 20 when it happened 22 when it was done
yup, I paid roughly 12000, spent one night in jail, I was .04 and the police report claimed I appeared to be on drugs my eyes were dialated. I wasnt on any drugs my face hit the steering wheel so I was a little wound up. I was hit by another drunk driver my fukn luck.
That's shitty
Yeah, they don't play here in ca. Say the wrong thing and they'll thump ya, too.

I walked out on my hooters $500 tab and went to move my car and wait for a ride... They called the cops and my stupid ass got popped... 19 jäger bombs 4 shots of cheap tequila and a couple pitchers of beer lol I wasn't even of age they said it was too much liquor on one tab so they had to split it... I said fuck that and went to leave I was so drink I didn't realize they watched me get in my truck and drive to the back of the lot... I saw the cop and got out and tried walking away like nothing happened my keys were in my pocket and that's actually what fucked me... Intent to drive my gf got there in time to watch me make a scene and watch my truck get towed
YeA I went in the next day still drunk there were all kinds of fees I was like fuck u guys I didn't tell u to tow it
thats some BS bro. Plus your girl showed up she could have moved it and you were on private property. Once they get you in the system you have to pay your way out and it is a huge pain in the ass. luckily for me my truck was totalled and the other guys insurance paid for it, I just grabed a few thing out of it and handed them the keys.
They don't even serve Tequila in the Hooters near me. But what they charge for a burger, I wouldn't order any anyway!
I was fined up the Kazoo for my DUI also, and for my community service... for about a month this city had the cleanest, most shiny police cars ever!

We can talk about 'cops' forever.......Rule of Thumb.....Don't Fuck with the Police....& don't drink & drive...
I got handcuffed in Vegas for asking the cop in the urinal next to me if he likes girls? Freedom of speech isn't really free anymore

Lol that video was funny

I've mouthed off to cops on two occasions. The first got me punched on the spine, right between the shoulder-blades. The second time I wasn't really mouthing off, just lying, but it got me choked by a cop wearing mirrored sunglasses at two in the morning while I was cuffed.
Lol I mouthed off the night of my DUI refused breath test... Turns out they have these gnarly vise grips they use to grab u by the neck... Then they figure 4 your arm and take your blood while they are all smashing and suffocating you... It's a life changing experience

A cop was being a dick and decided to pat me down for no reason. My crime? I had insomnia and hasn't slept in two days, so I looked like shit. Anyway, as he was patting me down from behind, he patted my crotch. So I said, "Hey, if this is as good for you as it is for me, how about we go out for coffee later on?" To which he punched me on the spine, right between the shoulder-blades. It sent me to my knees.
The reason fines are so expensive in California is because they have to pay for illegal Messicans and those San Francisco sex changes.

No the supervisor was cool and concerned because people don't just call 911 and tell them a cop choked them out on tape. I didn't file a report because I was drunk at the time of the incident and I told the cop I know enough cops in this county to know all the cops at the scene are going to lie and the judge is going to believe the cops over me because I had been drinking.
What's funny is a cop buddy of ours, who was an off duty cop at the same dept, picked me up at the scene and drove me home.
