Here is the thing that it all boils down to. If you dont like the fucking job then dont work there. Get another job. If the only thing your qualified to do is collect shopping carts and your 30 years old then you need a hard look in the mirror and if you would pay attention to any thing I say in other threads i do not support big corp greed and i find any one that does not contribute any thing to society a fucking waste of space period. If a 18 year old kid can go give his life to protect this country the least any one can do is work hard to attempt to be successful.

its simple, just like the military. If you do not get promoted and you look at your service record, at what you have accomplished and to get promoted its probably empty. As a LPO in the navy i get so many of my junior saliors bitching its to hard to get promoted or my eval is unfare. I ask them what qualifications have your completed to be competative and what have you dont to deserve it. They all tell me well I work hard, show up on time, and get my job done. I sit them down and tell them, yeah that is what your getting paid to do. If you want to be at the next pay grade and earn more money you have to earn it. Right now your only doing whats expected of you which will keep you making lower pay and stay the same rank.

If you work at walmart and want a raise, then find out what position will give it to you, then ask your manager what classes or courses can i do on my own time to be competative for it. They will see two things. Your interested in the position and that your willing to work for it. Get that stuff done and then go back up to them and tell them you completed it, that you believe in this organization and you want to be a higher part of some thing great. Remember people not every job is created equal and we all start at the bottom. Some times the bottom means making 8$ an hour. If your 30 and still at the bottom then you have an issue.

so how can you complain about welfare and say it's great that some jobs are entry level and don't pay much when tax payers are forced to supplement the paycheck of the working poor with tax dollars?

The working poor are getting paid more just not by walmart etc but by us. why the fuck do i have to buy their groceries?

my neighbor hires a guy to mow his lawn but says he's just a beginner so he's not gonna pay him much. then my government says it's just peachy for my rich neighbor pay him too little cuz LW, who is not rich, will throw in some extra so he can eat and pay rent??? fuck that shit. if you want your lawn mowed you pay him or mow your own damned lawn. to hell with rich corporations digging into the pockets of the taxpayers to support their workers. they are not doing anyone but themselves a favor.

i'm using walmart just as an example but for the life of me i will never agree that people struggling to make ends meet should be responsible for giving walmarts workers some extra to live on so walmart who is filthy fucking rich doesn't have to.

seriously imagine yourself after a hard weeks work kicking back in your recliner and your RICH neighbor knocks on your door and asks for a handout to help feed the guy mowing HIS fucking lawn. how the hell does that make sense? your rich neighbor needs a break man because he employs people but wait a fucking minute.... you're not rich but you have to buy food, heat, medicine for his workers????

When I first joined the military I was making less then that. 550 every two weeks except I was being shot at on a daily basis. My buddy started flipping burgers and went to management and now owns one. Did this with out a penny to his name. Its called for for a reason. the low paid employee is a myth. they get more pay via our tax dollars supplementing what walmart or other such businesses gives them. we pick up the slack because walmart thinks we are so stupid we buy a 3 dollar pack of t shirts not realizing that cheap price comes with all the welfare dollars we are forced to pay their workers too. they think we don't noticed that corporate dick in our backdoor when we buy those cheap t shirts.

first if your mowing lawns then its your landscaping company, your fault for mowing lawns cheap. As for the neightbor knocking on my door asking more money to pay him. That is what I have issues with the gov't stepping in and taking my money to feed worthless people. I have NO issues with gov't assistants for hardworking americans who need it. I have NO issue with people from wallmart getting gov't aid to better them selves so they can strive to get a better job. However, I have issues with people from wallmart getting gov't aid that milk the system, live out of their means and do not live responsibly.

If your making 8$ an hour thats a high school job plan in simple entry level work to help earn extra money, if your still making 8$ an hour and you have kids, a family, rent ect. That is piss poor planning period. That is called being irresponsible with your life style and career. That means that person never once set goals and had no drive to better them self. If some one has no drive to better them self why should i care to help them? I would have NO issue paying gov't assistant to a 26 year old barly making it so they can take night classes to learn a new trade that will pay 16$ an hour. I think of gov't assistance should be a business investment not a way of life. It should be an investment we are willing to take on humanity that they will get on their feet and be productive. Those 8$ jobs will NEVER go away, but those jobs are meant for people with zero work experience, that are looking to get started in life. From the ages 16-18 and at 19 you should have some form of experience that should allow you to make a bit more money based off of a larger resume and refrences.

So again if your 30-40 barly scrapping by i would love to see what you have been doing for the last 10-20 years and I bet you deserve to make that much money.

those 3$ t shirts are made in china not from welfare workers There a business and plan and simple dont shop there if you don't like their business ethics. Don't work their if you don't like their company ethics. As of today we still live in a free country where any one can achieve any thing with hardwork.

welfare workers work in walmart to sell me those shirts if i shop there. i am not free to not pay to feed, house, and otherwise provide for walmart staff in this country even if i do not shop there because walmart is free to reach in my pocket for welfare to afford their cheap labor. walmart should be forced to pay them what they now rely on me to pay them. it's very simple. even if i never set foot in a walmart i pay for their cheap labor. where is the freedom in that?

you do not need to work at walmart or shop at walmart to suffer their dick in your ass.

Yeah I get rich because I made the sacrifice, lived off top roman, drove a car that left me stranded many times and got dumped by superficial girls because i lived in a horrible apt, drove a horrible car just so i can manage my money in hopes to become successful. I use to save 30k a year while I was in the Navy. so I lived off of less then 20k a year which is poverty. I did it just fine. It sucks and is not fun but its possible. Its called sacrifice and if you do not like it then do some thing about it. Its there fault for accepting their circumstance.

i hear you but sadly, walmart is the best some people can do. look around sometime when you're there. i see a lot of challenged and elderly people trying to make a living. we should let them. there's NO fair reason why people who work there need their hand in MY pocket or why walmart has any right to low cost labor at MY expense. and i disagree that it's okay for walmart to take advantage of people because it's their fault for being desperate for work or unable to achieve anything higher. not much hope for someone 60 in the job training world. the situation is our fault for allowing walmart to bilk taxpayers so we can get 3 dollar shirts with a dick in our ass.

He mentioned that Obama will just tax Walmart more, I was pointing out that corporate taxes are very low and some companies like GE pay zero taxes because of loopholes.

It's the repubs that want to lower already low taxes for the rich and corporations and don't give a shit about middle class taxes because we don't "create jobs."

All the crime data coming out of places like Britain says otherwise. In America the large majority of break-ins occur when the criminal thinks no one is home.  But it is actually more common for a break-in to occur in Britain while someone is home. Guns are used to stop about one million crimes per year in America by civilians.
