I am 48 and and my urologist performed a DRE and said my prostate was normal but slightly enlarged at 30 grams. I do notice my urine sprays and sometimes splits.
I dont have any strictures or obstruction ; doc performed a scope( cyscoscopy) and determined no obstruction. He claims my prostate is irritated and inflamed.
The fact that my prostate is 30 grams has me wondering if its just enlargement that is causing me issues.
I ask this question because i want to start trt again but am worried about my prostate growing even more.
he said not to worry. My e2 levels are fine, under 30.
anyone else have prostate issues.?

If it is slight, just keep an eye on it... keep PSAs in check.

THIS!^^^Cialis really has a positive effect on the prostate. Not to mention that other "member" of the family.

Believe it or not, they actually do massage your prostate; its not fun. They kind of press into it hoping to clear out any junk if its infected,
prostate issues are no joke. You piss and then 10 minutes later you piss again because you still feel as if there is some urine left. Also the stream is weak. I never even knew what a prostate was until i had issues; it sucks and makes you feel old and you get depressed,

Yeah i cleared out some junk too when i had mine massaged. Mostly semen though. It Felt weird but the chiropractor claims all that tension was causing me to fall out of alignment.

I about the same age and had prostatitis issues about five years back or so. Doctor recommend this http://www.newchapter.com/targeted-herbal-formulas/prostate-5lx
and been fine since (knock on wood and all). You can find it fairly cheap on the internet (30 bucks or so).
Good luck.

My prostate is fucked! I taker everything: saw palmetto, stinging nettle, pygeum, prostate formula, ect. The supplements help, but it is still a pain in the ass. My dad has awful prostate trouble and he has never touched gear, so mine is twice as bad. My grandfather had prostate cancer for 3 years before he died.

Wish I had decent insurance. I would go get this shit checked on.

Would a prostate supp be worth using if i dont have any issues?

I have heard that taking prostate support can reduce the likelihood of developing prostate problems, but honestly, I think a persons psa is a more important indicator of trouble.

A prostate supp in my opinion is definitely worth it if you're doing a cycle. Supplements help once there is a problem but don't always cure the problem, just make it less of a problem so might as well try to prevent the problem from occurring in the first place. I would add acupuncture to the list of things to try. I've never needed acupuncture for prostate problems, but it has been awesome with many other issues (back pain, headaches) I have used it for.

Have had tons of bph issues....cialis ed fixes it right up..I used to take flomax but cialis works just as good..

Bph sucks if it gets bad...split stream and slow flow are fairly minor...when it takes you 10 min to piss 2 ounces you know your in trouble...

Saw palmetto

Why?? These 2 studies say its no better than a placebo..

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16467543

RESULTS:There was no significant difference between the saw palmetto and placebo groups in the change in AUASI scores (mean difference, 0.04 point; 95 percent confidence interval, -0.93 to 1.01), maximal urinary flow rate (mean difference, 0.43 ml per minute; 95 percent confidence interval, -0.52 to 1.38), prostate size, residual volume after voiding, quality of life, or serum prostate-specific antigen levels during the one-year study. The incidence of side effects was similar in the two groups.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18423748

CONCLUSIONS:Most clinical trials of investigating the efficacy of botanicals suffer from well documented methodological flaws. Saw palmetto has been clearly shown as comparable to placebo in a trial of sound methodology

Im surprised there arent more posts related to BPH and other prostate issues, it seems that a lot of guys in their 40's and 50's have issues. Especially guys doing TRT.
S2h - did a urologist actually tell you that you had bph? Ever think of using propecia( low dose fin ) to shrink the prostate?
