Pyruvate is a very interesting supplement, there is alot of good research supporting its effectiveness in weight loss if taken in the right dosages (5grams-10grams daily), most people take much less than this and get hardly any results.
It is awesome when used in conjunction with a low carb diet and cardio.
Pyruvate is the end product of aerobic glycolysis (break down of carbs)...which then eventually enters the Krebs cycle (after conversion)....this leads to ATP production (energy) which amps up your metabolism....by cutting out the carbs and adding pyruvate..you theoretically get the increased energy and metabolic effects but no carbs to burn so you burn fat instead....at least that is the theory.
did that make any sense?
just know it only works if you take enough....low carbs is best....do cardio...and of course it isnt the miracle pill but it does help out!
