Extra Salt For Exercisers

You need sodium. We sweat and uninate most of it out of our bodies throughout the day. Most athletes should be getting 2-3G of sodium per day.
 
but dont we typically get enough sodium from the foods we eat?

I add sodium based seasoning to my chicken and such.
 
salt sucks. i cant stand the sight of it much less the taste. :barf:
 
Jodi, 2-3 Grams? How many Miligrams?
 
Sea salt (not table salt) will also help you absorb water more effciently. I put a pinch of sea salt into my water before running or cycling so it gets into my system a little bit faster.
