Ok....What is the best way to bulk when working out?...do you start off with a weight that is the heaviest and do it till failure and then move down and do same??
The best way to bulk is to eat a caloric excess. There are countless training programs that will induce hypertrophy. However, they are all for naught if you don't have the necessary amino acids for your body to increase muscle mass.
Along the same lines as eating hypercalorically, consuming adequate protein and taking a lot of sleep, experiment and find a workout that is producing muscle/strength gains. So long as it is still producing results, stick to it. Worry less about what is optimal and more about finding a workout program that produces results and that you can consistently adhere to.
