OK...so if someone used decaf to wake up, would that still apply? :D ...the insulin sensitivity, I mean. And, what about caffiene pills?...E/C stacks?

Coffee a xanthine, has many constituents, USP caffeien has less, decaf will still have many of the constituents take makes coffee, coffee! (how can you WAKE UP with decaf?) So, yes, some reaction is possible!

E/C/A stacks are overrated, while they do raise body temperature, speed metabolism and work on catecholamines (http://www.ptd.neu.edu/Neuroanatomy/Cyberclass/Pharmacology/Catecholamine.htm), think of it more simplistically!

You rev the body up to 110% for 3-6 hours, the body being smart, then compenstates at 90% for 3-6 hours, net effect, less than you think!

If your don't want the proverbial 5 minutes to recharge and go to the bathroom (ice), no problem!

However, caffeine liberates FFAs, is slightly thermogenic and in many many studies beneficial for athletes! The most noted studies aredealing with increased time befor exhaustion!
