BJJ Training
20 minutes warm-up. Sprinting, rolling, shoulder pulls, elbow walks (?),
25 minutes learning - two more collar chokes. Also learned a third collar choke from one of the other guys.
30 minutes rolling with a partner (finally). I tapped my first partner 3 or 4 times (he isn't as advanced but is a great teacher). I somehow pulled out of a side mount with him on top and wrenched his arm up behind his back with his face planted in the mat for a Kimura (I think). I just went with my instincts and grabbed it, he tapped fast, but got his revenge by trapping me and locking me in an armbar.
My second partner had a lot more experience and gave me a lot of pointers about how I was leaving my arms extended and exposed for armbars, then showed me a counter by stacking all my weight on him and pulling his head up while jerking my arm free - worked like a charm. I had a lot of fun rolling with him, and I think I tapped him once or twice. Of course I also weigh a lot more than any of the guys there.
