Ben White Does NOT Sign With Species Nutrition

On Sunday, we were informed that Species Nutrition had signed IFBB pro Ben White to a sponsorship contract. Our main source for this news story was Inside Bodybuilding but it was also on other forums throughout the net. But the strange thing to me was that Ben was/is sponsored by Canadian supplement company Nutrabolics last I heard. At the time of the posting, he was still on the Nutrabolics website! Well it looks like Ben will NOT be heading over to the Species Nutrition team. Nutrabolics CEO Rodney DuPont contacted me and stated:

Ben is still under contract with Nutrabolics and is still part of Team Nutrabolics.

I reached out to Dave Palumbo CEO of Species Nutrition and he confirmed that Ben White never told them (Species Nutrition) that he was still under contract with Nutrabolics for another year! Somehow the rumor of Ben signing with Species Nutrition had leaked out before Ben White’s contract was reviewed. Ben White is a hot ticket right now and it’s no wonder he’s shopping his worth around in the market.

It's a shame that bodybuilders don't have the same privileges that some other athletes possess. Or perhaps it was Ben White's fault in not getting something in his Nutrabolics contract which would have allowed him to be sponsored by more than one company.
