    The Clueless Competitor

Should there be minimum requirements to enter a bodybuilding contest or does anything go at the local level?

What if someone seems not to be in possession of all their faculties? Can just anyone get on stage at a bodybuilding contest?

Where do we draw the line?

    Good article Mike.

Goddamit, BBg has a hard enough time as it is being taken seriously. Allowing these nutjobs onto the stage is fine for comic relief but crushes any credibility of the sport.

And its a goddam insult to the competitors. They're trained and sacrificed for that moment. . . and to have this guy standing next to them? JFC I'd be knocking him the fk out!

All the organisers need to do is barr these guys from entering . . JFC how hard can it be???

Welcome to the board by the way

    Thanks!

I agree with you to a certain extent. It's my opinion that you can't set minimum requirements for a person's PHYSIQUE at the entry level of competition. I mean, that's what the entry level is FOR, to weed out the crap.

However, you can insist upon certain standards of presentation. Anyone else would be required to know how to pose properly. Steve has been entering this competition year after year and the judges have never chastised him for not learning how to present himself. I think that's wrong.

At the risk of being a fan boy I really like the stuff you guys are doing with Kai ect... I am definatly a fan of Pro BBing and independent films in general and really love what you guys are doing. We have a guy locally where I am from named Gavin Booth who has done some real cool stuff he currently is running a thing on youtube as well but some of his bigger productions really got me interested in film making and the thought and creativity that is involved.

Keep up the great work it is very inspirational and nice to see some quality in the production as well. I watch alot of video on different things BBing being one and some of the quality is not always the greatest but yours is top notch.

If you are on youtube with nothing to do check his channel out

Thanks for that! I try my best. When I started 5 years ago I had literally never handled a video camera before. It has taken a lot of work to get to this point and I feel like I still learn something every time I shoot.
