    Classic advice on posing...

Larry Scott recalls Vince Gironda's advice on posing:

"It's more important what you do between poses than it is when you're posing. It's how you move from one pose to the next is more important than the actual pose."

Quote is offered by Larry Scott in the last few seconds of the video.

That's probably something that inspired Arnold to take ballet lessons.

It really does let you know just how comfortable and how well-prepared a competitor is on stage. But there is nothing more dramatic than the way the classic guys used to pose. THAT is what makes bodybuiilding look so cool. (And, sorry, even tho breaking & popping looks cool -- well even that ---depends on how well the breaking & popping is done, it doesn't begin to touch what makes old school bodybuilder routines so cool to watch.)

Made me think immediately of Ed Corney and Serge Nubret. Lot of great posers back in the day. Miss the old style.

They both had unbelievable stage presence, no doubt. Love the way they both move in between poses.

Arnold definitely had a set routine. I wish I could find the YouTube I'm thinking of...

This isn't the specific one (he does a rapid-fire repetition of several poses over and over in the one I'm looking for), but it does show his routine.
