The 32-year-old, who came fifth in last weekend's Natural Physique Association (NPA) Mike Williams Classic and Pro-Am Bodybuilding Championships in Sheffield, has admitted that the pictures that were revealed in the press made her look like she was "some 16 stone beast of a man", but she says she's tinier than ever.
In her interview, Marsh reveals that she's 5ft 2", weighs 8 stone and is a UK size 6.
Talking to presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, Marsh said: "In the pictures you can't tell how big someone is and in the pictures I look like some 16 stone beast of a man."
But she added: "I'm just really, really toned. I'm just really fit."
Jodie's transformation admits that while it's been reported that her change was over just an eight-week period, she actually has been training as a bodybuilder for the last few years. But, she was given an opportunity to drop 14lbs of fat and get trim for a competition, which meant that she had to train every body part.
She said: "The whole thing was for a television show but actually forgetting the show, that comes out on DMAX in January, but apart from that I wanted to do this anyway. I just offered them the chance to follow it because I thought it'd be fascinating."
she lives 35 miles from my parents house and ive seen here in her regular bar called the sugar hut a few times, she is famous a topless model over here and she is usualy a size 10ish,sadly she isnt very liked in the uk.
i think she is hot and dont care what people think.
You mean from a bodybuilding perspective? She a little bit straight up and down, but has great abs. And she only placed 5th at her competition, so the judges probably agree with your "too thin" assessment (if you meant from a physique perspective).
Of course, maybe you meant from a "would hit" perspective.
Can't argue with her conditioning and she's obviously doing what she loves.
Jodie Marsh posts semi-naked photos of new bodybuilding physique
Jodie Marsh has been showing off her new bodybuilding physique once again, posting semi-naked photos of herself from a magazine photo shoot.
The former glamour model hasn't missed an opportunity to show off her new physique after her radical transformation, which saw Marsh ditch the curves in favour of a more muscular appearance.
In the latest round of photo shoots Jodie has stripped off for the cameras, posing nude for The Sun while appearing semi-naked in Zoo magazine.
After debating whether naked photos would be allowed on Twitter Marsh settled upon posting some equally racy shots of herself wearing nothing but some skimpy see-through lingerie.
As she posted one of the photos she wrote: 'Found one that's not nude :-) got hundreds from today but most nek-ed!!! Haha x x x'
After fans inundated her with appreciative messages, she added: 'Honestly can't believe the support people. You're amazing. Thank you again!! Starting the tv show with big big smiles :-)
Marsh had shocked fans earlier this month when she unveiled her dramatic new look, coming fifth in a bodybuilding competition.
Bodybuilder strips for tasteful pics on 10th anniversary of her first naked shoot
By BELLA BATTLE October 26, 2011
JODIE Marsh's new-look body has caused a sensation - and now you can see every inch of it with a special nude shoot to mark ten years since she first peeled off for The Sun.
In these incredible new pics - scroll down to watch our exclusive video - the former glamour girl reveals the toned form she has developed thanks to a new-found passion for bodybuilding.
Stunned Facebook and Twitter users lit up the web after shots of muscle-bound and deeply-bronzed Jodie appeared on our site a few weeks ago.
The 32-year-old Essex girl trains for up to eight hours a day to perfect her new look - and recently came fifth in her first ever tournament, the Natural Physique Association (NPA) Mike Williams Classic and Pro-Am Bodybuilding Championships in Sheffield.
Viewers will watch her obsessive workout regimes and progress in national competitions in a new reality TV show, set to be aired early next year.
In the meantime, these stunning new photographs bare witness to all Jodie's hard work.
Reclining on a bed of feathers, the petite star shows that away from the bright lights of competition, her body is elegantly lean - and all woman.
Jodie says: "I love feeling sexy so posing naked gives me a real buzz and I jumped at the chance to bare all for The Sun.
"I can honestly say this is the most proud of my body I've ever been.
"I absolutely love how I look now and would run naked across a crowded street if you asked me to!"
The bodybuilding babe admits she is happier now than ever and loved peeling off for our cameras – almost ten years to the day since she last bared all for The Sun.
"The shoot was amazing – we made sure the shots were tasteful and I'm really happy with the results," she says.
"I know I'm not perfect but I've worked hard to look how I want to look and I'm happy in my skin."
Today's confidence has been hard won, however. Jodie remembers the years when she became a national pariah – mocked and criticised for what she did and how she looked.
She recalls, "When I first became famous I was still lapdancing at Stringfellows and in great shape. But as the jobs rolled in, I quit and slowly lost some of the firmness and definition to my body.
"But I was still posing in skimpy outfits as my body and fame paid the bills. Magazines started slating me every time I turned up to a red carpet do.
"They would point out my cellulite and every other tiny flaw to my body that I'd never even noticed. That took its toll.
"By the time I was 26, I hated my looks so much I stopped going out. I even struggled taking off my clothes if I was with a guy."
"Then I took up bodybuilding and everything changed. Suddenly I felt in control for the first time in years."
Jodie admits to being shocked at the buzz that has surrounded her transformation. She says, "I honestly thought that maybe one weekly mag would feature a photo and that would be it.
"But the response has been overwhelming. Best of all, I've been really touched by how positive people have been, wishing me well and say 'good on you' for working so hard."
"Even better, if I continue to improve my form at bodybuilding competitions, I could even represent England. I almost cry with happiness when I think of that."
Another thing putting a smile on ambitious Jodie's face is her new fella - trainer Brad Pearmain, 27. She said last week, "We've only been together about three weeks. We've been talking for two years, but not doing a lot other than talking."
Jodie now hopes to compete with bodybuilder Brad in her next show.
And asked if we will see her in all her glory in The Sun in another ten years Jodie says, "Well I'll be 43 but if Pamela Anderson can do it, so can I.
"That woman is sexy as hell and still has a body most 20-year-olds would kill for – if I keep up the workouts I hope I can say the same thing."
1) I wish she'd stop calling herself a bodybuilder and develop some fucking hamstrings.
2) I wonder if she's going to do a legitimate bulker cycle.
3) Congrats on her results, but its really not that much different than Biggest Loser doing an extreme diet and training 8 hrs per day (really? ever hear of recovery??) and now she's going to be running around selling herself as a diet/ training / fitness guru when it is painfully apparent she is a dabbler and has no real clue. Anyone want to take bets on how long before we see her training video & diet program?
Hater much?
My biggest concern is the 3rd - she's helping perpetuate the ignorant approach & expectation of nutrition, training, and as a competitor, she's only mediocre, and as such IMO needs to earn a rep as real competitor. Its all relative of course. It just reiterates the importance of TIME SPENT.
The first YouTube I saw of her, the interviewer asked her point blank if this was just another fickle phase for her. Marsh is apparently one -- like many people, of course -- to jump from this obsession to the next.
She's not built for the sport, imo, being very straight up and down, but she seems to be having fun with it and states it's a lifestyle for her now and emphasized doing it naturally. I'm cynical enough to wonder if that's the truth.
Can't blame her too much for the spotlight as it was a radical change from her heftier glamor model look and, yeah, the fact that she was already a celebrity of sorts prior to hitting the bodybuilding stage. She does have impressive abs.
lol I will keep an eye out for her DVD and fitness book. Wouldn't be surprised by that prediction coming to pass.
