Mentzer was maybe 5'9". Platz looks about the same.

    ...

History of Mr. Olympia: MIKE MENTZER offers that Mentzer was 5'8".

Teh Interwebz notes Platz's height as 5'7" and 5'8" an equal number of times. From the pic it looks like he's at least close to Mentzer's height.

    How many can you name?

Almost definite on the names listed below. May have spelled some incorrectly or misidentified some, of course. No idea on the question marks.

D'OH! Missed Steve Davis (7b) while numbering the photo.

He appeared on the first issue of MuscleMag International I ever purchased.

I met Platz twice, he is shorter than me, I would say he is 5' 5" at most.

Well, I shouldn't be surprised. Arnold's height was always listed as 6'2" but, at 6'1" and wearing similar shoes/sneakers, I was taller than him all four years at the Arnold Classic during those Polaroid moments. He's 6'0 to 6'1" tops. Can't believe he shrank more than an inch since his prime.

    That was 1989, 1990, 1991, and 1992.

Pics or gtfo? I'll have to gtfo. Have an Arnold Classic coffee mug, several t-shirts, autographed programs, and the pics (hopefully) boxed up somewhere. For the life of me, I have no idea where, though.
