well the top three qualify for olympia so i would say the chance of it being a natural contest is unlikley

it is a pro show but will also have amatuer, and yes it is an Olympia qualifier.
How can there be so many qualifiers though? There are going to be soooo many people in next years Olympia: Any previous winner, the #1 in masters olympia, the top 6 from the previous year, The top 6 finalists from the previous year's Mr. Olympia, the top 5 finalists from Arnold's and Night of the Champions and the top 3 finalists from any Grand Prix..and now shaun ray's?!?!?

exactly, look at all of the pro shows in 2005 and the top 3 or 5 winners, you will see many of the same people.Originally Posted by P-funk

There should be fewer entrants in this year's Olympia because all of the European Grand Prix contests, which were normally held after this year's Olympia, were cancelled and I hear the NY Pro event ( the former Night of Champions) may not go off in 2006. So there will be many fewer qualifying events.
There is too much drama starting to go down in BBing....it seems like they are trying to turn it into WWF or some shit....they have wrestlers for announcers and they have the shit talking sessions with different bodybuilders....maybe its to try and grab a new audience....but hey BBing is real shit not plotted out like wrestling matches. Its giving the sport a fake feel. AND IT SHOWS....how does Badell win the challenge round but place 3rd? Its lame and retarded.
in addition the challege or pose round is judging one person against another in a pose....ISN'T THAT WHAT PRE-JUDGING IS???? So if Ronnie won pre-judging he shouldn't have lost in this challenge round BS
Financially it was not a success because the rent was so high ( Its New York, remember) and the promoter didn't get enough sponsors to make a profit despite the big crowd. I'm not 100% sure, but I remember reading somewhere that it was going on "hiatus" for a year.Originally Posted by musclepump
The Challenge Round has a WHOLE DIFFERENT CREW OF JUDGES, so that is why the results were different than from the contest, and two, it didn't count at all in the overall Mr Olympia results, so that is why the outcome there had no effect on the rest of the contest standings.
I may be right or wrong here. The contest is listed on the IFBB schedule for May 20th. However, they did drop the women's events from the program.Originally Posted by Egoatdoor
