    My Brain just exploded

Ok one of my best friends is going to do a natural BB show. He did a few about 10 years ago and did very well. He is 6'3 and 285 right now. He competed at 240-250 back in the day and was almost ripped. He is 100% natural and knows his shit about training....but diet.

He has 14 weeks to get to 250, he is on a 5000 cal diet and I think that is way too high. This first show is a tune up so no worries. My question is what would be a good cut diet ( losing 2+ lbs a week ) for a natural guy this size.

I told him better to diet too much now than the last 3-4 weeks....I suggested a 3500 cal diet for starters.

5000 is way too high if he needs to get to 250. He can drop a good ten pounds of water weight but its still 2 pounds a week.

start caloires high and implement cardio at 45 minutes for 5 days a week and after 2 weeks access if after 2 weeks no improvement drop caloires to 4500 keep cardio the same after another 2 weeks drop 4000 caloires if not dropping keep at another day cardio at 45 minutes lower to 3500 ..on days not training may be lower them 20 % keep in fats and protein the same and dropping carbs mainly. I prefer to see people keep higher calories and do alittle more cardio. Change one varibale at a time so you know what is working and what is not...may be increase BCAAS and glutemine before and after cardio and workout to keep nitrogen balance up. Cardio can be anabolic if used properly and carefully

I disagree with the extreme cardio idea....all that will do is burn as much muscle as fat....not good.

Seek advice from bodybuilding experts who know their shit .. like dimaggio or musclepump or other people with experience. You're not going to get much from us since the majority of us just train to be healthy, strong and big.
