You are either tough or your not. You can either fight or you cant. You can lift as many weights as you want and it doesnt mean you are tough. Look at MMA. You take a guy who is in the welterweight class and I would put him up against a bodybuilder and he would probably win. Simply because he knows what he is doing. So is your question is bodybuilders tough as in can take alot of pain? Or tough as in can they fight?

That still doesnt make sense? Not all bodybuilders are strong. I cant remember where I read, but they say if Lee Haney wasnt a big muscle bound bodybuilder you would never know he was a bodybuilder because he didnt lift big weight, he worked more on form and the burn.

Big doesn't mean strong. I mean, a contest-ready Nationals and above-level bodybuilder is probably one of the more intimidating people you''ll ever see, but when they're in that condition, they're at their weakest. So, looks can be deceiving.

being able to throw a punch has very little to do with size and strength, it is technique and skill which comes primarily from being trained to fight.

I guess the question could be re-stated as "Would you ever be nervous in having to fight a bodybuilder?"

Meaning...are they any challenge? (no training, just working out)
    6' 217lbs (10/18)
    Bench 365 (12/3)
    Weighted Pullups 80lbs 3x3 (3/19)
    Squat 370
    Deadlift after herniation 385lbs 3x3 (3/17)
    NASM certified 2/06

It sounds like a question a muscle worshipper would ask.

If he asks for calf measurements or puts up a 'how much can you lift thread' . . . . .
