Calorie, protein, carbs, and fat weekly breakdown
So right now I'm 16.3% bodyfat and I want to do a cut before I start really bulking. My goal is 10-11% bodyfat. I'm currently at 199lbs so I'll need to get down to about 185lbs. I'm really active I surf just about every day and lift every day. I wrote my split down in the training section. So my daily average is:
Calories: 2,338g Protein: 260g Carbs: 156g Fat: 72g What are your thoughts about these numbers? The only place I really have any fat is my belly and low back. |

Im 6'3" 205 and down to 9.5% body fat and had success with simillar numbers, although I was taking in slightly less calories around 2,200 and my carbs where a little lower but one thing you'll find is everypersons bodys completly different you might find that with less carbs you become lethargic. Also keep in mind its not just calories in calories out it also matters where these calories are coming from!!! for instance if your carbs are comming from foods high on the GI index, or are simple in nature (white breads and things of that nature) you wont have any sucess at all. At the end of the day though if you eat clean, work hard and are determined then nothing can stand in your away

Also don't be discouraged when this doesnt happen over night, anything worth having takes TIME!!! Another thing to keep in mind is in an ideal world you'll get down to 10-11% at 185lbs but dont be surprised if you have to dip lower in lbs to get to those percentages because although it sucks majority of the time with cutting diets there is usually some muscle that gets lost in the process =(
This as a side note and it comes from personal experience but something to possibly look into if your EXTREMLY dedicated and concerned about not loosing muscle in the process of cutting is a cyclical ketogenic diet. Im on one right now and even though im only 9.5% body fat the percentages are still dropping and at a decent rate with no muscle loss either (of this im sure because i get my BF percentages done by a trainer and then varify them with a biometic BF reader) |

It's tough because I'm 6'5" so already I'm a pretty thin guy, so I'll look pretty skinny for a little bit, but whatever I bulk pretty fast. My short term goal is to get back to 225lbs. And just go from there.
