Pool Party

I am currently cutting (or was) for quite some time. Recently (past week), I increased my training regime, with more cardio and weights more frequently. As a result, with the increased training, I increased my caloric intake. Before- I was on a protein/fat diet with carbs pre and post workout only. Now- I eat 3 to 4 meals of carbs so make sure I don't burn myself out with the increase in training. I have put on 4-5 pounds as a result but have only increased my caloric intake by 400-500 calories a day to compensate for the increased training. Could this just be mostly water weight with some fat?

I have a pool party come up in the next week and a half and want to be nice and non-juicy (not so much water in my system). When would be a good time to get back to the lower carb diet again and tone down the training? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mostly likely water.

Carbs have an affinity to water.

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I was thinking about going back to carbs only pre/post starting next week- one week to lose some of that water weight you think is sufficient timing?

2-3 days before but normally you look flabbier without the glycogen. If you want to look hard/firm you want carbs.

Usually after my carb up, I look more jacked...but i've been eating carbs for an extended period of time, which i'm not used to, hence probably why I look a little flabby right now. I will start cutting out carbs, have my cheat meal and/or carb up right before the party- should do the trick!

I am no expert, but have you considered depletion workout? It's in Builts sig.
