    Sunflower oil

or vegetable oil would be a bad choice for a salad?

I usually use olive oil, but I was wondering if using sunflower oil/vegetable oil will be a good/bad choice for a salad!
    Please use arguments !

For an almost one to one balance of Omega 3 and 6 EFAs, you would want to use 1/2 flax and 1/2 safflower.

If it were a choice between olive, sunflower or vegetable (high corn content), choose the olive oi,. (extra virgin is best)!

Is the vegetable/sunflower bad because of the high corn content only?

"It is a shame we do not use these oils for cooking and baking—the bad rap they have received is the result of intense lobbying by the domestic vegetable oil "

According to this paragraph tropical oil is a good source of saturated fat and good for cooking. IS it good for frying too?

I havent read or heard too many things about tropical oil.
Does it have a bad rap due to high content of saturated fat?

Quite a prolix info on fats and oil..

Most of them have pros and cons and it looks tough to find the right one. I guess we need a little bit form everything.

Once again thanks for the link...

    One more thing.
"Acceptable oils will be a high quality extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, avocados, and organic butter, or better yet grass-fed organic butter." The paragraph is reffering to Omega-3 sources.
My question is where can I find organic butter and what does it look like??

It came from an "Organic Cow"...has to do with feed and hormones

Try a Health Food Store...look for Alta Dena, Horizon or Organic Valley.
