High Fat, Low Carb Ideas
I'm about to head into a UD2 Mass routine. The program calls for keeping carbs down to 100g per day for the first four days before seriously refeeding. The problem I'm having is keeping carbs this low while hitting overall caloric requirements.
And I don't feel like filling the calorie gap with nothing but peanut butter. Any thoughts? You'd think this would be easy. Basically looking for quick hitting, easy high fat/low carb snacks. Thanks. KY |

Olive oil, fish oil, most proteins(fish, beef, chicken), nuts are a good source of fat with somewhat low carbs and decent protein

Do you have the book and did you read it? The low cal days are also low fat.

I've done UD2 fat loss, read the book, know all about it. On UD2 Mass variant you're trying to gain lean mass. The same UD2 partitioning benefits that allowed you to lose fat and replace/maintain/grow muscle can also allow you to gain mass with little fat gain. In this variant, you have to increase cals on days 1-4 to about -10% of maintenance (vs 50% cut on fat loss variant) while keeping carbs relatively low -- appx. 100g per day. This allows you to stay out of ketosis, but also encourages more of an anabolic response on these days. But in order to get the cals up, keep carbs at 100g, you need to increase fat. There's no other way. KY |

buffalo chicken wings would also work. The chicken skin, butter hot sauce, and blue cheese dip will help you get your calories.
Also 80% lean red meat patties packs around 300 calories |
