Diet advice from High school coaches, I remember those days. You can always count on them for 100% non scientific voodoo information.

My brother plays football and a coach has told him to use "Instant Dry Milk" mixed into his milk/protein shakes throughout the day to increase calories, protein, etc.
Trying it out, it does nothing to alter taste.
Looking at the nutritional facts, it's the equivalent of having double the milk without consuming all the volume which seems to bloat me.
Thoughts on this?

That's what all the dietitians here say, too, and I don't know why. They seem to have a thing against protein powder.
I'd just use protein powder. Dry milk has a LOT of lactose, in the quantities a guy's likely to take for the extra calories.
