My diet has always been decent and I have always hit my calorie goals each day.. Just not in the healthiest ways possible. I'm looking to dial it in a tad so i have a few questions on some foods.
Spaghetti; Regular ordinary string noodles; Prego traditional sauce; Lean Ground Beef.. Is this alright to eat in my diet a few times a week?
Normal Baked Potatoes; I know sweet potatoes are of choice, although im wondering if baked potatoes are acceptable in a solid diet.
Eggs; Should i really bother throwing out egg yotes?
Corn: Frozen Sweet Corn. No potassium.. Cool?
Natural peanut butter; I could never figure out what anyone means by that. All the peanut butters that say natural have the exact same specs as any other peanut butter.
Not an expert by any means but I had the same questions. A few google searches you can determine from a few resources:
Pasta is okay as long as it's made from Semolina (most are now).
Lean ground beef is fine a few times a week. Cholesterol and fat are the main issues with beef.
Egg yokes, again cholesterol. Many eat one yoke with 5 whites but with 210 mg out of a recommended 300 a day.. I personally think it's better to toss the yokes.
5 yokes a day for a few weeks will make you a member of the zipper club in no time flat.
Again, not an expert so the vets here may have other advice.
Eggs, and egg yolks are great for you.
Pasta and potatoes are fine if they fit into your diet. For a lot of people it is hard to fit them in because of the calorie density and ease of overeating them.
Regular peanut butter has hydrogenated oils (transfat) added to keep it from seperating. Natty is just peanuts or peanuts+salt.
Is this legit natural peanut butter? Its called Skippy natural, anyone heard of it? This is the only stuff i can seem to find around here but it has pretty much exactly the same nutritional facts as any other peanut butter.. This is why im confused.
Any tips on how to measure out a pasta serving without keeping all components separate??
