    Constantly feel thirsty. Why?

    Hi,

    I'm 5'10 and 70kgs.

I go to the gym 4 times a week hitting a different muscle group each time. I am actively training in martial arts (very intensely) and average 1-3 hours training 6 days a week.

I drink around 2 gallons of water a day but I am constantly feeling thirsty...

Should I be worried or try to drink closer to 3 gallons instead?

Could be your diet, it might also be a medical problem like diabetes.

Hypothyroidism makes you thirsty. You should see a Dr.

2 gallons? a gallon=4.5 litres? 9 litres??? a day??? is this water alone or is it sugary drinks?
Cheat on your girlfriend, not on your meal.

This should be really simple, stop over complicating it.

Drinking too much water can make you thirsty via dehydration. How much salt are you taking in?

Thank you very much for all of your responses guys.

Hard for me to say as I haven't calculated salt intake. I don't really eat any salty foods and purposely never add it when
Icook. Do you think two gallons is too much?

I can get through 2 litres in a night. 2 litres during the morning and afternoon at work and then easily another 3-4 litres whilst training and afterwords.

Now I'm worried! My diet is very clean, although I do cheat maybe twice a week. What things/lack of things could cause this?

Hypothyroidism makes you thirsty. You should see a Dr.
Reading up on this now, thanks.
