Not the fat I'd be concerned w/, it's the carbs...14 g of carbs from grilled chicken says SUGAR to me!
Sugar is evil, not fat

There's a grilled chicken recipe (marinade) that I found in the newspaper. It has the following values for a grilled 7-ounce breast:
Calories 313 (29% from fat)
Fat 10g (2g saturated)
Cholesterol 110mg
Protein 41g
Carb 14g
Sodium 247mg
Does this look like something you'd eat on a bulk diet? When I see double digits in the Fat category I tend to look for something else.

The recipe calls for honey, I'm assuming this is where the carb/sugar is coming from. The ingredient list sounds okay though, low sodium soy sauce, honey, ginger, limes, sesame oil, some garlic and onion powders.
Looks like I'll just stick to grilling chicken breasts with some oregano, pepper, lemon juice and olive oil.

MAX...if you're on a bulk go ahead and make the recipe...it's only a little bit of sugar. When you're ready to cut then you should worry about eliminating the sugars. If you get no enjoyment out of your eating now just think about how difficult it will be to cut!
Searching for the right balance...

Lower the soy and honey, GINGER IS GREAT!!! (Real GINGER), add a lemon and substitute garlic powder for the REAL GARLIC!Originally posted by Max. Q

I bought this huge jar of minced garlic a while back, figured it would come in handy with my cooking. I've used it for grilling chicken and steaks, also good for the stir-fry dishes. Another reason I bought it is cause I got tired of having garlic smelling hands after cutting them with a knife.
You're right, nothing tastes better than the real deal, I don't cook with certain powdered spices (ginger, garlic, onion..etc..) it just doesn't taste the same.

Miced is a lot better than the powder. Sounds like you need the quick Chopper as shown on Informercials!Originally posted by Max. Q

LOL, you know what!!?? I have one of those choppers, bought it about ten years ago. The garlic seems to like getting stuck between the blades, I use it mostly for chopping onions, pickles, carrots..big food items.

They have a new one out that doesn't work too bad!Originally posted by Max. Q
