does dietary fiber count in carbs total?

I eat Quaker high fiber oatmeal in the morning. It has 10grams of dietary fiber. When adding the oatmeal on Fitday that fiber stays in the total carb count. Is that correct or should dietary fiber be subtracted form overall daily carb counts

    Thanks,

from my understanding, you would subtract. atleast that's the way it works from a diabetic's standpoint. each gram of fiber negates a gram of carbs.

Just be consistent in whether you track it or not. The end of the day, the total calories matter.
