    Unexpected Carb Intake

My diet: carb cautious. I live an atkins based lifestyle where I limit carbs, try to not make bready, pasta, or potatoey items & I'm light on the sugary condiments and bbq sauces.
I keep a lean body based on my diet, not my workout (not proud of that) & I've helped my partner get an incredibly lean physique when combined with his dedicated lifting routine.
My question to other fitness minded people is: Has anyone noticed specific amounts of condiments/spices that throw off your progress? I assume a lot of ketchup, bbq sauce, sugary condiments are just as bad as sucking down a soda...What about spices? Anyone go so far to notice what amount of spices are fine and what throws off all your hard work? (I just made a chicken breast tonight..no skin in a pan with fresh ginger and garlic. no salt, light oil so the bird doesnt stick to the pan, lol.. typically I'd dip it in something, but it was really good plain..wondering if the ginger and garlic is equally bad as a tablespoon of ketchup....hmmm?

ginger and garlic is by far better than ketchup for obvious reasons. But neither is close to "sucking down a soda" or even close to it, but I get the analogy. A soda has so much sugar in it its just ridiculous. I love mayo. 100 cals a tablespoon and you can see how it can throw off a diet plan. I did about 2 servings on two chicken sandwiches just about 20 minutes ago.
