Hey Jerin, welcome to IM and congrats on getting a diet together.

It's tough to critique the diet because without knowing how many calories will allow you to maintain your current weight. Have you ever tracked your intake? Additionally, it's preferable to work in grams of fat, protein and carbs (the macronutrients) instead of dealing with actual food choices.

^Six meals. Looks the same as my keto diet with the addition of the whole wheat bread and fruit. And I prefer a 1/3 cup of cashews instead of the almonds.

Wouldn't see why this wouldn't work.

Get to it, stick to it, and report back.

I was 194.3 on Saturday. I'm hoping to see a lower number by the end of this week.

See you then: Curt James' training journal

You can use an online food counts program like FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal to put in your meal plan & portions to get the total calories & macronutrient breakdown (% protein / %fat / % carb).

Nuts - try to eat them raw/unroasted whenever possible. Roasting damages the PUFAs. Jerin, please read that link m11 posted before you start that diet. I'm not concerned that it won't work, but I'd like you to know what calories this diet is for you. Also, you may wish to ditch the AM carbs, unless you lift in the AM.

Why bother though - why not have the carbs later in the day, when you lift?
