    I was told yesterday that if you can take the extra calories to add skim milk to the post workout shake. But if your trying to supplement an entire meal with the shake you can blend oats, peanut butter, whey, and water or skim milk. And you will have a great tasting meal replacement.

    fredlabrute, is she looking to gain or lose weight?

    Low cal version: vanilla protein powder in a diet orange crush. Tastes like a (shitty) creamsickle.
    Wondering where to start? Confused? "Homework 1" will get you started.

    Why does she want to replace a meal with a protein shake? Why not just choose a different solid-food option?

    Skinny models are about 30% bodyfat. She'll need to do things that promote muscle loss and fat retention.

    Protein would be contraindicated. She'll want to do more cardio and eat less protein, so she can remain soft and skinny. Very high rep, low weight workouts only.

    <shudder>

    I hate giving this kind of advise.

    Okay, so she wants to be skinny-fat then. Sadly, she'll not get the six pack doing this type of training. The kind of training she is doing will tend to make her "smooth" and not particularly "hard".

    Then she'll need to change her approach. To get a six pack, she'll need to switch to a lot less cardio, focus on low-rep, heavy lifting, less (or no) high-rep work, and more protein. Sprint intervals can be helpful; read "daredevils" in my sig for more on this.

    She'll need to focus on dropping bodyfat, of course, and that means eating less food than she requires, to ensure weight loss.

    Why would you want her to eat more frequent meals? This will only make it harder for her to control her intake if she's a bigger eater. Why not just let her eat two or three bigger meals? It may be healthier to do this anyway.

    On the real note, if your interested in some awesome tasting protein bars you could do what I do. Found this on the web. 8 scoops whey, 1 pack sugar/fat free pudding (any flavor), 3 cups oats, 2 cups skim milk. Mix it all together until batter like, then put in non stick pan into the fridge and let sit over night and you have 8 good tasting bars. like 250 calories. I just made a batch and added a good bit of pnut butter into mine since I don't get many fats throughout the day.
