Aren't oats gluten free?
I have had many successful cuts in the past and my staple breakfast carb has been oatmeal. I have recently ben diagnosed with celiac disease, now im on the search for a gluten free alternative that still has all the same benefits as outs. currently i have switched to rice chex but i dont think that it is as fast acting as the oats. there is plenty of info on gluten free foods but not alot for bb'rs. any help will be greatly appreciated.

nope, some studies say yes but still not definitive.
I beg to differ, me and my 3 kids are Celiacs and all eat oats.

Need drop to 190 pounds badly

Some celiacs seem to do okay on oats, some don't. My sister's got celiac and she can't eat oats.
To the OP - I don't eat grain at all very often. I also don't eat carbs for breakfast. Do you train in the AM? If you do and you want carbs, try rice, or potatoes. Polenta works nicely, too. Another option is dosa, basically a chickpea flour pancake. If you just want something fast, toss some dextrose into your shake.

Man, get yo'self some Grits!Originally Posted by Built
Polenta and grits are basically the same thing.I would, however, recommend that you consume them topped/combined with salt and butter as we do here in the South, and not Yankee~Bastardize them with milk and syrup.
