Dextrose is a carb (sugar) You can purchase it online at some nutrition stores.

As far as "whipping cream" Were talkign about heavy whipping cream not the kind of whipping cream you put on a sundae. The reason people use these in there shakes is to slow absorbtion down. Some people opt to include fat in there shake while others don't. There are valid opinions on both sides.

Smarties (Not the chocolat M&M kind they have in Canada or the UK) or Sweet Tarts.

Or go to supplementdirect.com they sell dextrose in 10lb bags or some shit like that.

Don't use table sugar, its not a great way to spike insulin post w/o.

    Smarties FUCKING RULE!

    THE best sweet EVER produced.

I was kinda addicted to them when i was younger.

    Cholate smarties that is.

I think smarties in the US are those 'refreshers' or sherbert tabs. Nice though. They ain't no smarties.

    LOL.

I knew there would be a reply to that on this board. The whole smarties/sweet tarts and their CAN/UK counterparts drive the low carber guys crazy.

    P.S.

    DP,

They are great for carb-ups/re-feeds, pure dextrose.

    hi guys..a few more questions...

i read a post where someone suggested adding a grapejuice to creatine for better delivery...any opinions? (a litte off topic sorry)

Also, as for adding whipping cream to protein shakes, i'm not on a low carb diet, so will i get fat if i do add the cream to the shake?
is it essential to add the cream? Really appreciate the help..:-)

The added cream will serve to slow digestion and an insulin response....whether you add it or not depends on whether you want a spike or not.
