    Cutting In Camp

Hey, I'm planning on doing a cutting diet in a month or so. Right now I'm working up in the oilsands and am staying in camp most of the time. They really regulate what we can eat and most of it isn't that great. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever lived in a place like this and managed to cut while here, which I'm sure is possible. If anyone wants I can list the food were allowed to eat later.

Yikes, I have heard of the meals they serve up on rigs and oilsand camps, massively awesome, but not good for you at all. Post the foods that you will have access to and I am sure someone can help you out.

Well breakfast is always the same. It usually goes eggs cooked anyway I want, shitty bacon, sausages, porridge, beans, various types of bread, and milk. There's a few other things but I cant remember. I mostly get eggs, porridge, and milk for my breakfast right now. For the rest of the day until supper there's vegetables/fruits to choose from, boiled eggs, cheese, and either disgusting made camp sandwhiches or my own that I usually make with 12grain bread. The meat is processed and I know its crap but there's not much else to make it with. So for those I usually make three meals of a sandwhich with two whole eggs. I bring milk when I can. Supper's rotate, so one night might be steak night, another fish, etc. There's usually potatoes cooked here so I get those and whatever meat they cooked. And yah that's about it. I haven't asked but I'm pretty sure I can't bring food into my room if I had a mini fridge or something. I wanted to try the UD2.0 but with this selection of food it'd be pretty hard to do. O yah, they have a ton of other crap food available all day like cookies and pastries. And they wonder why 3/4 of the guys here are over weight.

I have yet to research cutting for my own future use, but I am sure people will have plenty to say about what you have available. They feed you well out there, thats for sure.

It's pretty average for a camp this size. Most small camps that house 500 or less usually serve amazing meals and the bigger ones aren't as good. My camp houses 3000 people so I can't really complain.

Is there salad? Instead of 3 sandwiches for lunch maybe make a salad with some eggs and lunch meats sliced over it. Breakfast is fine with eggs and oats. Dinner Id watch the carbs because odds are they will be loading with fats. Veggies and meat with a small amoutn of starch would suit you fine.

It all comes down to your macros...figure out how many calories you need to maintain, reduce that by a couple hundred, then divide that up and make meals out of it.

Yah there is, good call on the salad. They really like to deep fry as much stuff as they can and add a lot of fat to it too. I'm going to get a schedule of what they cook and than try and figure something out based on that.
