    protein shakes for a beginner

hi , im now about to start a new workout regime and was wondering if i should take protein shakes right from the start ? i have never lifted weights before and will be easing myself in the first couple of weeks and also i have read that i will see fast gains the first couple of months as my muscles will not be used to it .so what do you think is it advisable to start the shakes straight away or leave it for a while , thanks

    yes lol.

you need to calculate your LBM and from there you will know your daily nutritional requirements. you will also be able to calculate how many grams of protein and carbs and fats you require daily. from there you will be able to put together a meal plan.

basically you need to learn what you need to learn before you can learn it, so you should read the stickies.

How many grams of protein do you take in each day? If you're not certain, it would be preferable for you to let us know of that, don't guess a random number.
