anyone try Atkins (that wasn't obese to start with)?

    what were your results?

    I'm 5'7", 170 ...

I been this weight +-3lbs for the last 5 yrs. I'd like to walk around @160. Tried cutting, calorie deficit for yrs now. I'll eat clean for 6-8 weeks, then lose my motivation, and keep going back to my natural weight. I wanna try something new.

you may want to try overfeeding for several weeks to make sure your metabolism isn't in the crapper. staying in a caloric deficit for years isn't the best thing for the metabolism if reducing body fat is the main goal.

Atkins is best for those you need to rapidly lose weight and their insulin sensitivity is shit but with the right macros, etc. the non-obese or overweight person can have success with most balanced diets. you may also want to think about going isocaloric with ratios of 33/33/33
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
